Children's Ombudsperson's Office begins child rights community audits
The Office of the Children's Ombudsperson has conducted its first child rights community audit in Addu City, Hithadhoo.
This year, a total of ten audits will be conducted, beginning with Addu city Hithadhoo, thus nine additional audits will be conducted in other islands this year.
The audits were conducted to track the implementation of the Child Rights Protection Act and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), as well as the extent of compliance with child-related regulations within state institutions.
As part of the audit, which was conducted yesterday, interviews were taken while checking the records and inspecting the buildings that worked in different ways to protect the rights of children. The team went to two schools of Hithadhoo, the hospital, the police station, Addu City Council, the court, rehabilitation centers, and to the Family and Children Service Center (FCSC).
Upon completion of the audit, the Office of the Children's Ombudsperson will continue to share the recommendations with relevant institutions to improve the findings based on the information obtained from the audit of the institutions. Every three months, the recommendation implementation will be monitored.
Following the child rights community audit held in Hithadhoo, a workshop was held with child interest protection agencies operating in Hithadhoo. The meeting was held at Addu High School and was attended by employees of eight institutions where the audit was conducted.

10 ރަށެއްގައި ކުރިއަށްގެންދާ މިއޮޓިޓްތައް އައްޑޫ ސިޓީ ހިތަދޫން ފަށާފައިވާއިރު، މިއަހަރުގެ ތެރޭގައި އިތުރު 9 ރަށެއްގައި އޮޑިޓްތައް ކުރިއަށްގެންދާނެއެވެ.
މިއީ ސަރުކާރުގެ މުޢައްސަސާތަކުން ކުޑަކުދިންގެ ހައްޤުތައް ރައްކާތެރިކުރުމުގެ ޤާނޫނާއި، އދ. ގެ ކުޑަކުދިންގެ ހައްޤުތައް ރައްކާތެރިކުރުމާގުޅޭ ބައިނަލްއަޤުވާމީ މުއާހަދާ އަދި ކުޑަކުދިންނާއި ގުޅުންހުރި ޤަވާޢިދުތަކަށް ޢަމަލުކުރަމުންދާ މިންވަރު ދެނެގަތުމަށް ޤާނޫނުގައިވާ ގޮތުގެ މަތިން ޗިލްޑްރަންސް އޮމްބަޑްސްޕަރސަންގެ އޮފީހުން ކުރިއަށްގެންގޮސްފައިވާ އޮޑިޓެކެވެ.
އިންޓަވިއު ކުރުމާއި ރިކޯޑްތައް ޗެކްކުރުމުގެ އިތުރުން އިމާރާތްތައް އިންސްޕެކްޓްކޮށްގެން ކުރިއަށްގެންދިޔަ މި އޮޑިޓް ފެށުމުގެ ގޮތުން އިއްޔެވަނީ، އައްޑޫ ސިޓީ ހިތަދޫގައި ހިމެނޭ 2 ސްކޫލްއަކާއި، ހޮސްޕިޓަލް، ފުލުހުން، ކައުންސިލް، ކޯޓު، ރީހެބިލިޓޭޝަން ސެންޓަރ، ފެމެލީ އެންޑް ޗިލްޑްރަން ސަރވިސް ސެންޓަރ (އެފްސީއެސްސީ)އަށް ޒިޔާރަތްކޮށް މައޫލޫމާތު ހޯދާފައެވެ.
އޮޑިޓްކޮށް ނިމުމުން ކޮންމެ ރަށެއްގެ ހިމެނޭ މުއައްސަސާތަކުގެ އޮޑިޓުން ލިބޭ މަޢުލޫމާތުގެ މައްޗަށް ބިނާކޮށް ފާހަގަކުރެވޭކަންކަން އިސްލާހުކުރުމަށްޓަކައި ހުށަހަޅާކަންކަން ޗިލްޑްރަންސް އޮމްބަޑްސްޕަރސަންގެ އޮފީހުން ގުޅުންހުރި ޢިދާރާތަކާއި ޙިއްސާކުރަމުން ގެންދާނެއެވެ. އަދި ހުށައެޅުންތައް ތަންފީޒުކުރެވޭ މިންވަރު ކޮންމެ 3 މަހަކުން މޮނިޓަރކުރާނެއެވެ.
ހިތަދޫގައި ކުރިއަށްގެންދިޔަ ޗައިލްޑް ރައިޓްސް ކޮމިއުނިޓީ އޮޑިޓަށްފަހު، ހިތަދޫގައި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވާ ކުޑަކުދިންގެ މަސްލަޙަތު ހިމާޔަތްކުރުމުގެ މަސައްކަތްކުރާ އިދާރާތަކާއެކު ވޯކްޝޮޕެއްވަނީ ކުރިއަށްގެންގޮސްފައެވެ. އައްޑޫ ހައިސްކޫލްގައި ކުރިއަށްގެންދިޔަ މި ބައްދަލުވުމުގައި މި އޮޑިޓް ކުރިއަށްގެންދިޔަ 8 ޢިދާރާއެއްގެ މުވައްޒަފުންވަނީ ބައިވެރިވެފައެވެ.
